How to Increase Framerate in Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight might not be your typical multiplayer experience, having you control either a survivor in a group or a killer based on those slasher movies, but it’s still an online game with updates released regularly to make it feel fresh.

While there are things like chat filters to make sure you behave in Dead by Daylight, players want to play this game with the best possible framerate, and changing it is only possible on PC so PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch players are at a disadvantage.

How to Increase Framerate in Dead by Daylight

PC players that want Dead by Daylight to perform better should try messing with ‘Quality and Resolution,’ which is in the game’s settings.

Try lowering it to 70 or below, which will make the textures and character models less detailed but also increase the framerate somewhat, which isn’t a bad payoff.

Depending on your computer, this might be enough to make the framerate of Dead by Deadlight better but if it doesn’t, there are other solutions.

Assuming that the previous method didn’t work, try to head to the Steam options of Dead by Daylight, which you can get to by right-clicking the game and going to its properties.

Once you head here, a new tab will open, giving players a new screen with some options to look at and they will want to mess with ‘Launch Options.’

Write USEALLAVAILABLECORES in ‘Launch Options’ and this should result in Dead by Daylight having a much higher framerate, which should look great.

Dead by Daylight is now available on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
