DayZ: How To Make A Gate So You Can Enter A Base

Day Z, the survival shooter from Bohemia Interactive, has landed on Xbox Game Pass and has reached a whole new audience – with hundreds of thousands of players hopping in for the first time.

We've already covered base building, but a gate allows you to add an easy access point to your fences.

DayZ: How to Make a Gate

Once you've built a fence, you're able to modify it with the right materials. You can add barbed wire as a deterrent, as well as a camo net to keep it hidden.

Crucially, you can also fit a gate if you have metal wire and pliers. This will allow you an easy access point, and a potential chokepoint for intruders.

If you loot a combination lock, you'll be able to secure your gate with a passcode.
