CD Projekt Believes It’s “Too Early” for Cyberpunk 2077 To Join Xbox Game Pass or PS Now.

There's been discussions recently about Cyberpunk 2077's future. Following news that CD Projekt Red president Adam Kiciński believes it'll be considered a “very good game” in the long-term, the company also denied that Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Xbox Game Pass.

Now, Kiciński's elaborated on their reasoning further in a recent investor Q&A. Asked whether they'd consider bringing the game to subscriptions services, Kiciński believes that it's "way too early for Cyberpunk [2077]” to make that jump.

CD Projekt Believes It’s “Too Early” for Cyberpunk 2077 To Join Xbox Game Pass or PS Now.

As reported by VGC, Kiciński stated:

We always consider any business opportunity, but this kind of subscription model is good at a certain moment of the lifecycle of the product, so not too early. Witcher 3 was for some time in a subscription, but we have to weigh the benefit and cost each time, so we have to compare it to sales, so it’s a decision based on data. It’s way too early for Cyberpunk.

The Witcher 3 has previously appeared in both Xbox Game Pass and PS Now libraries, though it's also a much older game by comparison, having launched in 2015. During this update, CD Projekt Red also outlined their roadmap for Cyberpunk 2077's future, which you can find in the tweet above.
