Blankos Block Party has become the first Web3 game to have launched on the Epic Store marketplace.
The game is currently in early access with a full version due to be released on September 28.
Blankos Block Party
The game runs on a private blockchain called EOSIO, also known as Antelope, which seamlessly integrates NFTs into the marketplace without having to perform the integration manually.
From the Epic Games store:
Blankos Block Party is built on a private, permissioned blockchain based on the EOSIO infrastructure that uses a Proof of Authority consensus model that is more environmentally friendly and sustainable than the Proof of Work model. Minting NFTs and integrating the marketplace via our platform does not require any mining.

Unlike other top play-to-earn NFT mobile games that require users to connect external wallets to play or sell NFTs, Blankos Block Party users can trade NFTs internally, eliminating the hassles of connecting external wallets to access NFTs. Although the platform will permit users to connect using Uphold wallets.
Described as a free-to-play multiplayer party game, Blankos Block Party's storyline involves players acquiring unique digital vinyl called Blankos, a type of NFT, which users can later buy, sell, and trade within the game.
In addition, players can also collect and acquire moola, the in-game currency, to buy extra accessories and merch for the in-game characters.
Mythical's foray into web3 gaming is arguably one of the most exciting events in the NFT gaming sector.
The platform has collaborated with several high-profile celebrities, brands, and artists, including Deadmau5 and Burberry, Michael Lau, and Quiccs, to help unveil new in-game items for its audience.
