Donald Trump has released 45,000 collectable NFTs called Trump Digital Trading Cards.

The Trump NFTs were minted on the Polygon blockchain and sold out within hours of their announcement on December 15.

Those interested in getting their own Donald Trump NFT could purchase one for $99 from the collecttrumpcards website.

Each Trump Digital Trading Card is a rare digital collectable, inspired by baseball cards. Owning a Trump card automatically enters the holder into a "sweepstakes" where they could win various prizes and possibly even meet Donald Trump himself.

As of December 16, the floor price of a Trump Digital Trading Card on Opensea sits at 0.0935 ETH ($113) and is ranked number 1 in trading volume.

Many took to Twitter to call out Trump with some calling it an “NFT scam” while others mocked the NFT artwork and the commercial that was used to promote the NFTs.

In 2019 Donald Trump tweeted that he was not a fan of cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin.

Although NFTs are not cryptocurrencies, Trump's use of blockchain technology to make his digital trading cards might suggest that his opinion on the subject has changed.
