How to Unlock the XM4 Assault Rifle in Warzone

With no need to reach a specific level to unlock the XM4, players can access it whenever they like. Armed with impressive accuracy, damage, and control statistics before equipping any attachments, the rifle dominates any mid to long-distance engagements with ease. Considering its performance without any attachments, selecting the right combination can make this rifle one of the very best in the game.

With so many attachments on offer in the Gunsmith, what exactly are the best attachments to use?

XM4 Warzone Best Attachments and Loadout

The XM4 can be a really great gun if you set it up correctly for Warzone. Given how Warzone plays, you'll want to focus on boosting range and reducing recoil/drop-off. Here's the best attachments to use.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 13.5” Task Force
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Magazine: Salvo 60 Rnd Fast Mag
  • Stock: Raider Pad

This set of attachments bolsters its strafe and movement speed drastically. Selecting the 60-round magazine is a no-brainer. It minimises the need for constant reloading giving you more time to remain in the action.

With the Warzone meta shifting to two assault rifles or a sniper and assault rifle combo, the XM4 is a perfect close-range weapon with excellent mobility; negating the need for an SMG.

XM4 Best Secondary Weapons

Once you've set up your XM4 using the attachments above you will want to consider which sidearm to use. Here's our pick:

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6"
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Optic: Sniper Scope
  • Stock: FTAC Sport Comb

Your secondary will depend on what you're comfortable with, but many are opting to go with a long-range assault rifle or sniper. The Kar-98k is without a doubt the best sniper to use in Warzone, and complements the close-quarters power of the XM4 perfectly. Here's the best way to set up the Kar-98k.

  • Semtex (Lethal)
  • Stun Grenade (Tactical)

Selecting grenades is personal preference but on this occasion, we have selected the Semtex/Stun combination. Use the stun grenade to slow down the movement of an opponent and follow it up with a Semtex to deal the killer blow.

  • EOD (Perk 1)
  • Overkill (Perk 2)
  • Tune Up (Perk 3)

EOD increases resistance to explosives while Overkill enables you to run two primary weapons. The third and final Perk is Tune Up. This Perk reduces revive time by 25%, giving you the ability to get your teammates back into the action as quickly as possible.
