The AN-94 arrived back in Season 5 of Modern Warfare and Warzone but is still overlooked for other rifles when it comes to roaming the streets of Verdansk and Rebirth Island In Season 6. With Season 1 of Warzone Pacific finally here, the rifle could well appear in the early stages of the new season as players attempt to determine the new metagame for the all-new Caldera map.

The reliable assault rifle features a "hyperburst" feature which means that the first two bullets will be shot with no recoil before unleashing a steady rate of fire combined with high damage output. While it may not feature as a regular part of the current meta, there is still time for the AN-94 to find its place amongst the best Warzone weapons.

Best AN-94 Warzone Loadout

The AN-94 is a cutting-edge 5.45x39mm Russian assault rifle with a unique hyperburst feature: The initial shot of a full-auto volley is followed up by an instantaneous second round before significant recoil is felt. This creates a tightly grouped cluster of shots with increased damage potential. The mechanism is fed by a canted magazine and a reciprocating receiver helps control the recoil.

The AN-94 assault rifle has some incredible stats, just beating the M4A1 in damage. With the right attachments, this weapon could be some stiff competition for the C58 and the FARA 83 which continue to dominate the metagame.

We'll have to wait whether the AN-94 climbs in popularity in Season 5 but for now, these are the very best attachments to equip.

MP5 Submachine Gun

The MP5 is one of the strongest close-quarters weapons in Warzone. Although it won't be able to take out enemies at long distances, you'll dominate any opponent that gets up close and personal. Tactical

For your tactical equipment, we recommend choosing the Heartbeat Sensor. This is particularly useful in the earlier stages of the game, as it gives you a huge advantage over someone who doesn't have this utility. You'll want to keep in mind that anyone with the Cold-Blooded perk will not appear on the sensor. This is particularly noticeable in the later stages of the game.

Perks

Your perks will give you a massive advantage in Warzone, so choosing the right ones is key. The three we recommend you use are:

• Overkill
• Amped

EOD provides an increase in explosive resistance while Overkill grants you the ability to equip two primary weapons in the same loadout which greatly improves your versatility during a match. Finally, Amped is the final selection. The Perk provides an increase in weapon swap speed, allowing you to swap between the AN-94 and the MP5 as fast as possible depending on the situation.
