One submachine gun (SMG) to work its way into the ever-changing meta Owen Gun, one of the more unusual SMGs available to use. Rather than excelling at close quarters, the Owen Gun is more effective at medium ranges. With a range of attachments in the Gunsmith, the close-range performance of the Owen Gun can be improved. How to Unlock Owen Gun

Players can get their hands on the Owen Gun by reaching Level 29 in either Vanguard multiplayer or the battle royale. To unlock the SMG as quickly as possible, equip a Double XP Token to reach the level with ease.

After testing a range of different combinations, we've utilised an Owen Gun build that improves the weapon's damage output while ensuring its high levels of mobility and control are maintained.

This set of attachments is different from other SMG builds thanks to the G16 2.5x Optic to provide a crystal-clear image of the intended target. The mid-range damage of the Owen Gun means an optic with an increased zoom is essential to achieve the most success. The Lengthened Ammo Type is ideal for inflicting further damage thanks to its ability to increase damage output.

The rest of the loadout focuses on stability levels in order to make the most of this unique SMG. It can be used at closer ranges but it's best to stick with those competitive mid-range engagements where the possibility of scoring several kills is very high.

With the attachments ready to go, further benefits can be earned by selecting the best Perks and Equipment to use alongside the Owen Gun. Mobility is already high, so you can experiment with Perk selection to suit all styles of play.

It's likely that you'll come under fire from a range of grenades during your time in Caldera so we've gone with EOD for some increased explosive resistance alongside Overkill to select two primary weapons. For some long-distance firepower, we recommend pairing the Owen Gun with the Vanguard Kar98k. The third and final Perk is Combat Scout, which highlights a target that's been hit in orange, making them very easy to spot.

The Frag Grenade is arguably the most versatile piece of equipment to use in Warzone Pacific. Cook it to perfection to down an opponent in the blink of an eye.

Is The Owen Gun Good in Warzone?

In my opinion, the Owen Gun has become one of the best SMGs in the entire game thanks to its incredible mid-range performance. It may not be viable in close-quarters engagements but at longer distances, it can make an impact against ARs.
