Throughout the short history of Warzone, players have the opportunity to obtain a huge variety of cosmetic items to change their appearance before dropping into action. While attention turns toward the launch of Season 4, some are already looking ahead to Warzone 2.

Interest surrounding the next chapter of the battle royale is building, with major changes leaked alongside the first look at the brand-new map through the Modern Warfare 2 reveal trailer.

As more information emerges, Activision has confirmed cosmetics in Warzone will not transfer over to Warzone 2 when it launches.

Warzone Inventory Won't Transfer to Warzone 2

Branded Warzone 2.0, the new Call of Duty battle royale experience will launch shortly after Modern Warfare 2 which releases on October 28, 2022.

According to a Call of Duty blog post, Warzone 2 is "an extension of the Modern Warfare II universe," meaning it will use exactly the same engine for seamless integration. In addition, the publisher confirms the inventories of all players will reset.

The news confirms Warzone 2 has no connections to the current version of the game. The new battle royale will feature "brand-new progression and inventories" so everyone will start from scratch.
