Call of Duty: Vanguard Adds New Features To Gunsmith

Now the first trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard is out in the open, Sledgehammer Games has revealed a handful of details surrounding the game's multiplayer including the total number of maps that will be available to play when Vanguard launches on November 5th. Alongside information on the maps, the developer has also confirmed that a fan-favourite feature will be retaining its place and will get some new additions.

The Gunsmith first arrived in 2019's Modern Warfare reboot and since then, it's become the most in-depth class customisation tool ever seen in the franchise, with players able to choose between several attachments and how each of them impacts the performance of a weapon.

It's hard to imagine even more customisation options making their way to the Gunsmith, but Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that two new features will be making their debut when Vanguard releases, adding even more ways to customise the weapons within the arsenal. The developer revealed that players will be able to select different ammunition types and ballistics which could provide increases in damage and bullet penetration.

The exact details of the new features weren't revealed but we can expect to find out more about Vanguard's multiplayer in the coming weeks. Could they add a further layer to the ever-changing metagame or will the features be overlooked for something that has a greater impact? We will have to wait and see.
