Sledgehammer Games teased the release of a comic on Twitter. The post revealed an image of Petrova holding her smoking sniper rifle surrounded by four dead bodies that seemingly failed to deal with the Soviet sharpshooter.

The writers of Vanguard will be hosting a panel at New York Comic-Con on October 10th, where they will be revealing other details about the comic. The panel is called "Navigating a Narrative Minefield: Writing a Call of Duty Story Across Video Games and Comics.”

There will be around four guests who will be addressing this topic and the attendees will get free issues of the comic which is sure to prove a popular release for fans of the franchise. Just like previous comics, it will be interesting to see whether the Vanguard comic will provide even more backstory to Petrova, who is based on Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a Red Army sniper with over 300 kills to her name. Call of Duty: Vanguard is scheduled to release on November 5th and it's expected that the comic will release at around the same time.
