Season 2 of Vanguard and Warzone is nearing its end. While attention is turning to the launch of Season 3 and the imminent arrival of Godzilla, some players are still waiting on the final weapon of the current season to appear.
In addition to the KG M40 assault rifle and the Whitley light machine gun, players are expecting the arrival of the Ice Axe melee weapon.
With the new season on the horizon, it seems like Sledgehammer Games and Activision have forgotten about the latest addition to the weapon arsenal.
Ice Axe Melee Weapon Missing
Set to be one of the more unique weapons available in multiplayer and the battle royale, the Ice Axe first appeared as part of the Season 2 roadmap prior to its launch on February 14. Since then, the rest of the content included in the roadmap has launched while the whereabouts of the Ice Axe remains unknown.
Typically, Activision will tease and promote the arrival of a new weapon but with Godzilla en route to Caldera, the focus is firmly on the upcoming season rather than content the community is still waiting for.
Will The Ice Axe Come to Vanguard and Warzone?
With Season 3 launching on April 27, the launch window for the Ice Axe is incredibly small. With no sign of it appearing anytime soon, there's a high possibility of the weapon never appearing in either Vanguard or Warzone.
For those that enjoy using the more unorthodox weaponry, a lack of Ice Axe is certainly disappointing news. Thankfully, Season 3 isn't far away and is likely to contain plenty of unique guns and melee weapons for you to use during matches.
