How To Unlock The Bren in Vanguard
If the Bren's unlock level hasn't changed from the beta weekends, the LMG is available to use from Level 28, meaning it may take some time and Double XP in order to get your hands on it quickly. Once unlocked, the base version will feel extremely heavy and very difficult to use without numerous attachments equipped.
The Best Bren Attachments in COD Vanguard
With such a variety of attachments available to select, it can be tricky to determine which are going to offer the biggest improvements on the battlefield. After spending time testing them out. we've found a combination that gets the job done.
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: Queen's 705MM Royal
- Optic: Nydar Model 47
- Stock: Oak & Shield 12B
- Underbarrel: Heavy Foregrip
- Magazine: .303 British 100 Round Drums
- Ammo Type: Subsonic
- Rear Grip: Fabric Grip

This combination offers numerous improvements to the overall performance of the Bren, including much-needed recoil control and some boosts to accuracy levels. The combination of Recoil Booster and Heavy Foregrip will be familiar to some, making the Bren much easier to control when engaging with opponents from a distance. While the likes of the Fabric Grip and Oak & Shield Stock improve sprint to fire and aim-down sight times, the highlight of the loadout is the Brace Proficiency.
Brace offers an initial accuracy boost when you begin to open fire with the Bren, making the first few shots land on their target with deadly precision. If you can land those initial bullets, the likelihood of securing the kill is very high.

Thermite is a viable alternative to a frag grenade in Vanguard thanks to its ability to stick to surfaces and deal lasting damage to any enemy that gets too close to the fire. This remote-controlled bomb can often lead to multiple kills being scored with some patient driving skills. Navigate the Goliath towards a busy objective or towards an enemy spawn and detonate it for a few extra eliminations to the tally.
