R1 Shadowhunter Cold War Loadout: Best Attachments, Setup And Class To Use In Season 2

The R1 Shadowhunter arrived in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone as part of Season 2 and as Season 5 Reloaded begins to progress, it remains one of the most unique weapons to use in multiplayer.

This brand new Special weapon brings back the classic crossbow for another outing in Call of Duty.

This version is very slick - it has excellent strafing abilities and clean hit detection. But it does suffer from bullet drop severely, so you'll need to aim higher at distance and lead your shots slightly.

Here's the best loadout for the R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow in Black Ops Cold War.

R1 Shadowhunter Loadout

The R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow comes with 6 bolts by default.

It features impeccable hip-fire accuracy and incredibly swift strafing when ADS.

If you hit an opponent with a bolt, it's an instant kill; which is great as the hit-detection is very good.

But due to the bullet drop and the long reload time, you're a sitting duck if you miss.

You'll want to ensure you have a loadout that makes up for its flaws.

R1 ShadowhunterBest Attachments

  • Reflex Sight

Well, the attachments are limited...in-fact, you can only equip an optic.

So I'd go with whichever one you feel more comfortable with - I would personally choose the Reflex Sight as it's the cleanest one.

R1 Shadowhunter Class

Primary

MP5

  • Sound Suppressor (Muzzle)
  • 9.5" Reinforced Heavy (Barrel)
  • SFOD Speedgrip (Underbarrel)
  • 40 RND Speed Mag (Magazine)
  • SASR Jungle Grip (Handle)

The MP5 is a great choice and one that will provide lethality up-close if the Crossbow can't cut it.

Lethal

  • C4

If you miss a shot with the crossbow and you're worried of an oncoming rush, throw a C4 out to quickly clean up your mess!

Tactical

  • Stun Grenade

Using a stun grenade is great to slow down enemies and ensure you hit them as the bullet drop can be tricky to hit every shot. Not to mention that if you miss, you have a very long reload time.

Field Upgrade

  • Field Mic

Despite having great strafing capabilities, it's not good to run around with. Instead, you'll want to use it with cover between you and the enemy.

Plop the Field Mic down to give you intel on the enemy's location so you can set up your shot.

Perks

  • Tactical Mask
  • Flak Jacket
  • Quartermaster
  • Scavenger
  • Ghost
  • Gung Ho

You'll want as little interference with your aim as possible, which is why we recommend Tactical Mask and Flak Jacket to negate the effects of enemy equipment.

Quartermaster will replenish your equipment, slowing down and disrupting the enemy so you can claim some easy kills.

Ghost will keep you off the enemy radar and Gung Ho is great as you can swap weapons faster - just be sure to bring a good Primary!

Wild Card

  • Perk Greed
