Assassin's Creed Dawn of Ragnarok: How to Play as Female Havi

Assassin's Creed Valhalla offers two versions of Eivor, the main character. You can either play through as male or female Eivor, which will also influence the version of Havi that you play as in Dawn of Ragnarok. Unless you have changed your preferences in the Animus menu, you will start Dawn of Ragnarok as male Havi by default. There are actually three options for changing Eivor/Havi's appearance, which we'll detail in this guide.

The choice for Havi's appearance offers the options of male, female, and 'let the Animus decide'. These all offer slightly different experiences, and if you never changed the option you will likely have played through Valhalla as female Eivor, switching to male Havi during certain scenes. Here's what you need to know.

Assassin's Creed Dawn of Ragnarok Gender Options Explained

There are three gender/appearance options for Eivor/Havi. The first is Male only. This will select male Eivor and male Havi. Female only will allow you to play as female Eivor and female Havi. The third option is 'Let the Animus choose', which is a little bit more complicated. This will switch between female Eivor and male Havi. Given that Dawn of Ragnarok predominantly features Havi, this will be entirely male Havi's story unless you switch from this default option.

How to Change Havi's Gender

To change Havi's gender at any point during Dawn of Ragnarok, just head into the main menu and select the Animus option. This is up on the d-pad for consoles. Once there, you can select 'change Eivor's appearance' which will let you choose from the three options outlined above.
