The Cipher Trail contrail was added to Warzone at the start of Season 2, and the game doesn't tell you how to unlock it since it's part of the season's secret rewards. This cosmetic will make your operator have a green trail with numbers on its back when dropping into a map or parachuting from a high position.

How to Unlock the Cipher Trail Contrail in Warzone

To unlock the Cipher Trail contrail in Warzone, you need to complete the following challenge: "Collect 10 keycards via biometric scanners."

This challenge can only be completed in Rebirth Island, as that is the only map where you can currently find biometric scanners. These have multiple spawn points across the map and will only appear when playing Resurgence. The scanners are not available in other modes like Casual Resurgence or Loaded Resurgence.

To help with the dots, here is a description for each of the locations shown in the map:

  1. Stronghold: On the control tower's first floor.
  2. Inside the lookout facility, on the left wall.
  3. Headquarters: On the first floor of the main building, inside the yellow door, down the stairs, on the wall to the right side before the bunker door.
  4. Factory: Second floor (first floor is basement/storage), inside the electrical room, on the wall next to a fire hose.
  5. Inside the facility near the water, on the first floor, on the wall next to the fences.
  6. Chemical Engineering: First floor, inside the main maintenance room, next to four screens, on the catwalk level.
  7. Bioweapons: Outside the building, first floor, under the outside stairs, next to the entrance.
  8. Industries: Main room, first floor, on the wall below the catwalk.
  9. Prison: Top floor, on the wall after going up the stairs from the cellblock.
  10. Control Center: Backwall outside the building.
  11. Outside the yellow module.

Once you get in a game, head to one of the scanners' locations, interact with it, and you will receive a keycard. After that, we recommend leaving the match and getting into another one, as the challenge only tracks 1 keycard per match. The game will still track your progress if you leave, meaning you don't have to stay and finish a full game.

Repeat this process until you complete the challenge and unlock the contrail.
