Valve is officially ready to start selling the long-awaited Steam Machine, their new console-like PC that will be able to run any game from the Steam library, without any hardware limitations.
The console will have 51 GB and 2 TB configurations, with each version available on its own or bundled with a Steam controller. Here are the price points for the different bundles:
- Steam Machine (512 GB)
- Just the console: $1,049 USD / 1,509 CAD / 1,039 EUR / 879 GBP / 1,609 AUD / 4,389 PLN.
- Bundle with 1 Steam controller: $1,128 USD / 1,628 CAD / 1,108 EUR / 938 GBP / 1,728 AUD / 4,698 PLN
- Steam Machine (2TB)
- Just the console: $1,349 USD / 1,919 CAD / 1,359 EUR / 1,149 GBP / 2,109 AUD / 5,739 PLN.
- Bundle with 1 Steam controller: $1,428 USD / 2,038 CAD / 1,428 EUR / 1,208 GBP / 2,228 AUD / 6,048 PLN
Valve explained that these prices were not the ones they envisioned when they started sourcing the Steam Machine's components back in 2023. As we have seen, RAM and memory prices have been on the rise, largely due to AI data centers' demands.

Likewise, Valve revealed that they will take a different approach for the pre-orders, given that players can't just go to a page and order their Steam Machine. Instead, they will run a reservation process, where players can express interest in buying one through this website.
They will have until June 25 to sign up for this. After that, players will receive an email indicating one of two possible things. In the first scenario, a Steam Machine will be reserved in their name and will get an option to purchase. In the second scenario, users will be added to a waitlist and will be notified when a console becomes available for them. The first batch of Steam Machines will become available to buy on June 29.
Valve will take a rollout approach, as they will sell their hardware as soon as supply becomes available.
If you want to sign up for this, your Steam account must meet the following requirements:
- You must have a Steam account in good standing.
- You must have made a purchase on Steam prior to April 27th 2026.
- Limit one signup per household. We will use payment method, shipping address, and other information to eliminate multiple entries.
