Nintendo is bringing Super Mario Galaxy to the Nintendo Switch 2 with a collection including both titles set to come out on October 2. Announced during the highly anticipated September Nintendo Direct, the re-release versions of the game are part of the company’s marketing push ahead of the upcoming The Super Mario Galaxy film, set to release this April.
The Mario Galaxy games are perhaps two of the most beloved titles in Nintendo’s entire catalogue, and that’s saying something. It revolutionized platformers by making the most out of the Nintendo Wii’s motion controls. The series will definitely feel right at home with the Joy-Cons.
On top of that, a neat Rosalina real-life story book was also unveiled. Presumably, it will be a part of some physical collector’s edition, but as it’s often the case, Nintendo didn’t reveal many details about it. Speaking of, the collection will be available both digitally and physically. There were no upgrades for the Nintendo Switch 2 revealed.
