Stranger Than Heaven Characters & Cast
Stranger Than Heaven centers around Makoto Daito, a half-American, half-Japanese man who escapes from San Francisco to Japan after the death of his parents. The video game follows his life throughout five cities in Japan during five different eras. Makoto will be played by Yu Shirota.

Take note that only Bunta Sugawara's likeness will be used for Genzo Iwaki. Sugawara passed away in 2014, known for his roles in the Humanity and Battles Without Honor films. In a press release sent to Polygon, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio confirmed they received consent from his family to use his likeness.

Materials were provided by Toei Company, which produced many of Sugawara's films. Genzo Iwaki's voice actor, Takashi Ukaji, also shared a close bond and friendship with Sugawara.
