Ready or Not’s Poorly Received Update Has Fans Yearning for Battlefield 6

Ready or Not and Battlefield 6

Ready or Not was originally well-received by fans, but recent updates after the release of its console ports have seemingly made it a worse experience. The updates have made AI for enemies more aggressive, while friendly AI is a lot dumber. While some fans are sticking with the SWAT shooter, others are now waiting for Battlefield 6.

This topic started on the game’s subreddit when a fan asked if the game is worth going back to after the August 7th update. Despite the list of fixes included, many fans feel that this game is still broken, making sessions much harder than they should be. Even though many dedicated fans will stay with the shooter, there’s definitely some resentment from gamers.

“No, and honestly, I'm done waiting for VOID to fix the game. Hopefully, Battlefield 6 is good,” said TwoToneBalone.

“Honeymoon period is over. I've S ranked Standard. F**k the rest of this game. If Void aren't going to fix it or make Hard mode SLIGHTLY tenable, then I'm gone. Bring on BF6,” said No_Amphibian_6904.

Both games are pretty different, but Battlefield 6 does have a lot of upside right now. Fans are pretty impressed by the visuals and the amount of destruction they can cause. It really looks and feels like a next-gen game, something fans haven’t said since the reveal of GTA 6.

VOID still has time to repair the reputation of Ready or Not, though only time will tell if fans will forgive them after. The game had a successful launch, though it hasn’t been received as well critically. But as a shooter with plenty of multiplayer focus, the devs should consider making this game better for everyone involved.

Until that happens, we can’t blame anyone for preferring the Battlefield 6 beta, which is preparing to enter its second weekend.
