Sony is expanding its hardware lineup with a new focus on desktop use.
Because many PS5 players bounce between PC and console or don’t always have a TV to themselves, Sony is jumping in with a monitor designed around that reality.
The company is releasing a custom monitor that combines PS5-focused features with PC-level performance for desk setups instead of TV use.
What Is PlayStation’s New PS5-Focused Monitor?
Sony is rolling out a 27-inch PlayStation-branded desktop monitor aimed squarely at PS5 players who prefer a desk setup but still want something that works great with a PC.
Sony introduced the monitor during November 2025’s Japan-themed State of Play, built around a 27-inch QHD (2560×1440) IPS panel that keeps visuals crisp without taxing hardware.
It also includes console-centric perks such as Auto HDR Tone Mapping, VRR, and up to 120 Hz playback.
Hook the same panel to a PC or Mac, and it can run up to 240 Hz, which makes the monitor equally viable for esports-style use on a rig.
What Ports and Features Does It Include?
The monitor includes dual HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, and USB-A/USB-C ports for PlayStation Link and accessories.

You also get built-in stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and VESA mounting for arm or wall installs.
The signature flourish is a neat, retractable DualSense/DualSense Edge charging hook tucked by the rear ports so your controller has a home (and power) between sessions.
Sony is positioning both the monitor and Pulse Elevate speakers as core parts of a PS5 desktop setup meant for desk gaming over living-room use.
