Fortnite reinvented the wheel yet again, proving that small, cute IPs could still be integrated in the big 2025. Ever since the Sidekick update dropped, Epic Games turned the doom of back bling fate into charismatic companions, bringing otherwise unfeasible characters to Fortnite life.
This, inherently, got players worldwide clamoring for more content from impossible franchises to take the rift towards the island, and we have even more ideas to add on top of our 2026 Fortnite wishlist.
From the multiversal heroes to kawaii protagonists, here are our predictions for upcoming Fortnite Sidekick updates:
1. Spider-Verse’ Spider-Ham
The long-awaited battle between Miles Morales and Miguel O’Hara can be foreshadowed in Fortnite as both swung to the Item Shop in May 2023. Since then, the wait has been long and hard for Spider-Verse fans as we enter the final year before the grand multiversal finale.

Knowing Epic, this guarantees one or two major updates and drops, and what better way to capitalize on the franchise and game’s hype than to bring Spider-Verse's beloved characters as Fortnite Sidekicks.
Spider-Ham, who already has an appearance as a pickaxe emote animation, would make the perfect guest for our adventures, constantly action posing and doing anything but helping. With Sidekick's height and inability to actually help, Spider-Ham would fit the role to perfection in what’d be an adorable and hilarious Sidekick crossover to promote the last installment of the blockbuster saga.
2. Demon Slayer’s Nezuko and Talking Crows
Anime fans have been starving for a Demon Slayer collaboration for years, with many still wondering what’s taken so long for the samurai sandals to finally drop. After much anticipation, Kimetsu No Yaiba followers are expecting a 360-degree content release for the island, something Attack On Titan fans got to experience in 2021.

This would ultimately mean a well-rounded item shop, with backblings, emotes, skins, and you guessed it, Sidekicks. The natural direction would be to bring Chibi Nezuko and Kasugai Crows around the action following the player’s adventures as spectators, just like they do in the show.
The size and concept canonized in the anime make both options great for giving Demon Slayer die-hard fans a Sidekick alternative, something I believe all Fortnite collaborations should account for after SpongeBob SquarePants’ massive success.
3. Sanrio’s Fortnite Debut
Dominating the world with cute and relatable protagonists, Sanrio has led the industry since 1960, with some of the most recognizable character designs in history. The Shintaro Tsuji empire has gone on to collaborate with countless world-renowned brands, yet its cast has yet to hop on the battle bus for a third-person shooter adventure.

Continuing on the Labubu hype train, bringing your comfort Sanrio character around feels like a no-brainer as Fortnite capitalizes on all markets: anime, sports, even trinket-mains. Imagine Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, or Cinnamoroll strolling through crossfire without a thought behind those deep, black eyes.
Customization would be for this type of collaboration, so whether Sanrio feels ready or compatible with Fortnite’s values and premise, there’s no denying it would be one of the most profitable crossovers in gaming history.
4. Your Favorite South Park Character
After Family Guy’s and The Simpsons’ massive success, it feels natural to make the call for Colorado’s own, once and for all. Thanks to Sidekick’s height limitations, now there’s no excuse for the gang to join Fortnite to wreak havoc, as only they know how.

Fortnite and South Park feel like a match made in heaven with Epic Games' respectful approach to aesthetics, frame rates, and even perspectives for the original material. Bringing these Sidekicks to life would give players plenty of options regarding vibes, from Cartman’s rage and fury to Stan’s fear and shakiness.
This would inherently create a gold mine of clips and reactions, instantly self-promoting just like other animated collaborations have helped reach global heights. Hopefully, we get to hear South Park’s iconic sound bytes in gameplay sooner rather than later. “Oh my God, they rezzed Kenny!”
