Monster Hunter Wilds is the gift that keeps on giving. After it released its final major content drop with Title Update 4, this next-generation Monster Hunter game has already set its sights on its imminent expansion, which is expected to come out later next year or in 2027.
The good news is that Title Update 4 doesn’t mean it’s the end for the base version of Wilds. A special collaboration event with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is coming soon, and you can unlock two sets of adorable cosmetics.

Capcom loves its crossovers. To promote the third major entry to its Monster Hunter JRPG, which is set to release this March 13, 2026, Wilds will feature a collaboration event with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.
The event will be available during the Arch-Tempered Arkveld update, scheduled for sometime in February 2026.
Similar to the Street Fighter 6, Okami, Devil May Cry, and Resident Evil collab from previous Monster Hunter entries, these special events offer free cosmetics for players based on their favorite Capcom games.
Cosmetics in Monster Hunter Wilds x Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Event
There are two rewards for players to unlock in the event: the ‘egg-cellent’ Chatacabra pendant and Rudy-inspired Palico armor.
The Chatacabra pendant adds a tiny egg near your weapon that can close and open, revealing the adorable Chatacabra inside it. As for the Palico armor, it will be inspired by Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection’s major character, Rudy. Like Navirou in Stories 2, Rudy will be your protagonist’s lifelong companion all throughout the game.
How to Unlock the Chatacabra Pendant and Rudy Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom has not provided additional details on the event yet, but it is expected that these new cosmetics can be unlocked by taking on Event Quests. Taking on these Event Quests will reward players with materials and resources to craft them via Gemma, the Smithy. Alternatively, they could also give it away for free by simply logging in.
As for its pricing, it is likely that the two new cosmetics will be free of charge, similar to the Akuma skin in the Street Fighter 6 Collab, and every collab since. However, there is also a possibility that these cosmetics can only be unlocked for players who own Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.
