On March 21, 2026. Marathon's Ranked Mode will officially be unlocked. For hardcore gamers, this is something to look forward to - not only can you enter a High Stakes queue if you rank high enough, but you can also get some high-rarity loot based on your highest rank in the season.

What Rewards Can You Get From Playing Ranked in Marathon?

Based on your highest rank during the season, you get different rewards when playing Ranked Mode in Marathon.

Here is everything you get when playing Ranked in Marathon during Season 1:

  • A Ranked emblem based on your highest rank reached
  • If your highest rank is Silver, you get a Player Background
  • If your highest rank is Gold, you get the Shell Style (Destroyer) and Title
  • If your highest rank is Platinum, you get a Gun Style
  • If your highest rank is Diamond, you get a Gun Style
  • If your highest rank is Pinnacle, you get a Gun Style and Title

There are six ranks in Marathon: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Pinnacle.

Besides these rewards, you will get a loot package every time you reach a new rank.

Other Things To Know About Marathon's Ranked Mode

Ranked Mode in Marathon will come out on March 21, 2026, and will only be playable until March 24. This is because Ranked Mode is still in beta, and Bungie is using this period to get feedback from players.

Moving forward, Ranked will only be available on weekends and will feature a different map. The Ranked zone rotation for season one is Perimeter, Dire Marsh, and Outpost. For the first official Ranked Weekend, players will raid Perimeter.

To play Marathon, you need to be at least Runner Level 25. To enter a Low Stakes Queue, you need to at least have a Bronze Holotag and a minimum gear ante of 3,000. For a High Stakes Queue, you need at least a Platinum Holotag and a minimum gear ante of 10,000. However, for the first weekend, players will only be able to enter the Low Stakes Queue. Holotags can be purchased in the Armory or by looting an enemy's Holotag.
