Well, luckily for you, Pearl Abyss is actually working on two further games set to be released in the future. These games are DokeV and Plan 8, which have been in production for years. With Crimson Desert finally out and performing well, we can now look forward to seeing what else its creators have in store.

Here's everything we know about DokeV and Plan8.

DokeV: Pearl Abyss's Second Open-World Action-Adventure Game

If you're in love with Crimson Desert, Pearl Abyss's first open-world action-adventure game, then you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for DokeV. The game was revealed in 2019 and could be released within the next two years.

DokeV revolves around players trying to find Dokebi, legendary mythical creatures or nature spirits from Korean folklore. These creatures gain strength from people's dreams. With your Dokebi, go on amazing adventures together in the open-world.

While both Crimson Desert and DokeV are open-world games, they are totally different. DokeV takes place in a world that highly resembles modern-day South Korea and is based on the country's mythology and folklore. Visually, it's more cartoon-like and colorful than Crimson Desert.

In October 2024, Pearl Abyss announced that DokeV would be released "around 18 months after Crimson Desert's launch," so it's likely to arrive in 2027 or 2028.

Plan 8: Pearl Abyss's Third-Person Shooter MMORPG

Let me introduce you to Plan 8, Pearl Abyss's first-ever shooter. The game was also announced in 2019, though it has received few updates since the team started focusing on Crimson Desert.

Plan 8 is an exosuit MMORPG shooter game. Not much is known about its premise at this stage, though the official trailer has revealed that players wear robotic gear to give them special abilities.

With DokeV as the next major project Pearl Abyss will be focusing on, it's likely we won't hear about Plan 8 until late 2027 or 2028. However, it hasn't been canceled as of yet, so fingers crossed the game is still in development.
