Rumors are claiming that a new LEGO Batman game is in the works, and it will be very similar to LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. If true, this could be the LEGO franchise’s biggest video game release in years, as TT Games hasn’t released a ton of titles recently. Only time will tell if the news is true, but this could lead to something intriguing if it is.
Previous rumors claimed that LEGO Harry Potter would get the Skywalker Saga treatment, but it never left the pitching stage. LEGO Games News posted on X, confirming what was said about LEGO Harry Potter and even claiming that a LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy was in the works, but got canned.
The leaker is now claiming that a new LEGO Batman is coming, and it won’t be related to TT’s previous games with the same name. Apparently, this game is scheduled for a 2026 release and could be revealed at this year’s Gamescom show. More importantly, this game will supposedly cover different eras of Batman movies, so it will be interesting to see which films are chosen.

Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy seems like an obvious candidate, as does the Tim Burton Batman duology. We might even get to see Joel Schumacher’s controversial Batman films alongside Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Many are also hoping to see Matt Reeves’ The Batman here, as that’s arguably the best movie starring that character.
A new LEGO Batman game in the same style as The Skywalker Saga has its ups and downs. If it uses the same graphics engine, this could be the best-looking game in the franchise. However, it could also have the more modernized gameplay that got a mixed reception, as the focus on combat and story took away from the series’ fun puzzles.
Still, with the lack of major Batman games, we doubt fans will complain about a comprehensive take on LEGO Batman. Having a ton of movies would also mean plenty of content to go through, which is always appreciated.
