Resident Evil Requiem's best-kept secret may have finally leaked via the most unsuspected of places. According to the Brazilian PlayStation store, Leon S. Kennedy will be a playable character in RE9.
Now take this rumor with a grain of salt. Originally, a screenshot of the Brazilian store description for RE9 was shared by Dusk Golem, a reliable leaker who has consistently insisted that Leon will be in the game.
That being said, I checked the store just mere minutes after the alleged leak occurred and saw no mention of Leon Kennedy anywhere. You can check the differences between the leaked and the current official store description below.
That isn't to say it could have been fixed swiftly by Sony. However, it's worth noting how easy it is for someone to edit a webpage to make it seem like a legitimate leak.
There's still a lot of mystery surrounding Resident Evil Requiem. Luckily, fans at least got a glimpse into the contents the Deluxe Edition will boast. Soon after it got leaked that a Lady Dimitrescu outfit for Grace Ashcroft would be available for those who purchase the more expensive version of the game, Capcom officially confirmed the full contents of the Deluxe Edition.
Furthermore, for those looking forward to the Nintendo Switch 2 version, there was confirmation that Resident Evil amiibos are coming alongside the launch of the game. Finally, if you're into Fortnite, a Grace Ashcroft skin will be coming in March, soon after the game is released.
Speaking of which, Resident Evil Requiem is scheduled for launch on February 27. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
