Supergiant’s roguelike sequel is finally stepping out of early access this September, and naturally, Xbox players are wondering if they’ll be able to jump in right away.

After more than a year of Early Access updates, Hades 2’s full 1.0 release arrives on September 25, 2025, for PC through Steam and Epic, plus Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

Its early testing phase ends here, after more than ten major updates have already expanded the story, mechanics, and scope. The hype is real, but Xbox isn’t included in the first wave.

Will Hades 2 Ever Come to Xbox?

Xbox players can still expect the sequel to come their way eventually, much like how the first Hades landed on Xbox well after its debut.

Supergiant hasn’t set a date yet, though the Switch release is widely seen as timed before the game heads to Xbox and PlayStation.

For now, the team is working on refining the PC and Switch versions to guarantee a polished 1.0 release.

The Switch 2 will get a physical release on November 20, 2025, including a soundtrack and art book, while Xbox has no such version confirmed.

Hades 2 isn’t launching on Xbox, though history suggests the platform will get it later. For now, though, Xbox users can revisit Hades 1 on Game Pass and watch for the sequel to cross over eventually.
