How to Unlock the Switch Genders Feature in Neverness to Everness (NTE)

Before you can switch genders in Neverness to Everness, you'll need to complete the side quest "In the Reflection" to unlock the change gender feature. The quest line will become available after you complete Prologue II of the main storyline.

Head towards the Wetheimer Tower near Hanaku Street, and you'll meet two women by the benches discussing a mirror that can supposedly tell your future.

Head to Good Joe Vintage and ask the owner about the mysterious mirror. He will lie, saying it's just an ordinary mirror, before asking you to leave. The two women will be outside the shop, allowing you to talk to them again and learn more about the mirror.

You'll then need to head to the Gold Apple Collection Hall. Enter the building and find a woman named Dolores, who is standing in the lobby. You'll ask her about the mirror, which will lead you toward a grocery shop at the opposite end of the town.

Your last stop is the Grocery Shop. Once inside, speak to a woman named Kookie. She'll be hesitant to tell you about the mirror, but after learning you're just curious, she'll reveal that the mirror is actually a magical washbasin.

After speaking to Kookie, head over to the washbasin in the corner of the store and Add Water to it. Zero will look inside and see an alternate reality where they are the gender you didn't pick. When you're done, speak with Kookie again. She will ask you what you saw, and it's up to you if you wish to lie or tell the truth.

How to Change Genders in Neverness to Everness (NTE)

Finishing the quest unlocks the ability to change Zero's gender.

To change their gender, open your phone and select the settings option at the bottom of the screen. From here, select "Others" (three circles in the shape of a triangle) and select "Switch Appraiser Gender."

Select Switch and then Confirm to change Zero's gender. If you want to change them back, you'll need to wait 24 hours. There is no limit to how many times you can change Zero's gender.
