Hollow Knight: Silksong’s pop culture impact almost broke the internet, and it has already amassed over 500,000 players on Steam alone. That’s an incredible milestone for an indie game made by only three people.
While Team Cherry’s title is slowly turning into a resounding success, players are also having the time of their lives exploring the many levels and secrets of the kingdom of Pharloom. Few have seen the game’s finale or uncovered everything Pharloom has to offer, but many are diving into a multitude of side quests, including one about collecting Mossberries.
Berry-Picking Side Quest
The Berry-Picking Side Quest is part of the game’s early introduction to Silksong’s new quest system. Unlike the original Hollow Knight, where you were left with no clue about what to do, Silksong’s quest structures make NPC tasks much easier to follow.
After exploring much of the Moss Grotto, you’ll encounter a strange Druid NPC brewing something in a massive cauldron. He asks for Mossberries to perfect his concoction and tasks you with retrieving three of them in exchange for a reward.
That’s where the mission begins. Here’s how to find all three Mossberries in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Location 1
There are plenty of Mossberries in Silksong, but you only need three to complete the Druid’s request. The first Mossberry can be found in the middle section of Moss Grotto. It is carried by a flying enemy, and you’ll need to use a long-ranged attack to knock it down.
This mid-section of Moss Grotto is accessible after unlocking the service elevator that connects Bone Bottom to Moss Grotto. Head to the far-right side of the platforms, and you should spot the glowing enemy buzzing around.
Location 2
The second Mossberry is hidden in a cave located two stories above Bone Bottom, as shown in the image above. You can head there once you’ve unlocked the service elevator shortcut.
Location 3
The third and final Mossberry is in a place you’ve visited before, but you may not have known how to reach it. It is suspended in midair. While you could pogo your way up to grab it, not every player has the reflexes for that.
Instead, head to the location shown in the image and use your Silkspear to knock it down. If you’ve been practicing your pogo skills, you can also use a nearby enemy as a stepping stone to reach it.
Once you’ve gathered all three Mossberries, return to the Moss Druid to claim your reward. He’ll give you the Druid’s Eye, a handy amulet that generates Silk whenever you take damage. It can be especially useful in tough boss encounters.
