Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, the sequel to the 2021 grand-scale shooter game, was previously scheduled to come out on June 18, almost two weeks from now. However, Expression Games and Team17 have announced that the game has been delayed and will now release on August 13.
The announcement was made through the game's social media accounts, with a lengthy post on X explaining the reasons behind this delay.
"Following intensive internal testing, coupled with the open beta feedback, we've identified several areas where additional development time will allow us to deliver a stronger launch experience," the studio expressed.
"The additional development time will allow the team to focus on improving performance, stability and overall gameplay quality ahead of launch. We will continue to share updates on our progress in the coming weeks and provide further information as we move closer to release."
Following several private tests with developers, content creators, and players who signed up, the game's open beta took place at the end of last month exclusively for PC players on Steam. In that same post, the studio revealed that more than 350k players participated in this test period.
Vietnam is being developed with Unreal Engine 5, and on top of the PC version, the game will also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
It's unclear whether the physical editions for the console versions are also planned to be released on the same day as the new release date, since they previously were set to come out on August 4.
