Fortnite's Pirate Shop Token is one of the most raved-about limited-time items in the game, and it's no surprise why.
If you're able to find the Pirate Shop Token, you'll be able to unlock items in the Item Shop for free for 14 days. There are some limitations, like you can't use the Token to claim Battle Pass levels, gift items to other players, or buy full bundles. However, skins, emotes, backpacks, pickaxes, and everything else are free for you to claim.
It's an extremely valuable item - and it's rare. Here's how to find the Pirate Shop Token in Fortnite.
How to Get the Pirate Shop Token in Fortnite
The Pirate Token is one of the rarest treasures you can get in this season's Treasure Hunt feature. Epic Games hasn't disclosed the odds of getting a Pirate Shop Token, and all rumors regarding its rarity and how there's a higher chance of getting the Token if you're a newer player are all false.

There isn't any way to increase your chance of getting the Pirate Shop Token, so the best way is to look at the right places.
Pirate Shop Tokens can only be found by opening chests during Battle Royale and Zero Build. They can be found in any chest, from Normal Chests to Relic Chests. For your reference, here are all the chests in Fortnite:
- Normal chests
- Rare chests
- Sprite Chests
- Buried Chests
- Wanted Poster Chests
- Relic Chests
Take note that when you open a chest, you have a chance of getting another Treasure Hunt prize. You don't need to pick it up; instead, you'll get a message on your screen telling you what you got. You can either get a Standard, Major, or Supreme prize. Obviously, the Pirate Shop Token is a Supreme prize.

The best way to ensure you score any type of prize is by playing in a Squad. When playing with other players, if one person finds the Pirate Shop Token, every member of the Squad gets it. You can also try immediately landing in named locations, as they are likely to have more chests.
However, this can be a double-edged sword; if you're lucky, you'll be able to get a gun quickly and kill other players before they can loot the same chest as you. If you're unlucky, you'll be eliminated by a player who got a weapon faster than you. The gamble is up to you!
