The Steam Machine just surprised the entire gaming community, sending it into a frenzy trying to figure out everything there is to know about the PC gaming console hybrid created by Valve.
So if you're looking to get a full rundown of the Steam Machine, I've got you covered.
What Is The Steam Machine?
First off: the Steam Machine is a PC built to function like a home console. It can be used as a personal computer, but it is primarily optimized to serve as something you'd have sitting in your living room rather than a desk.
The hardware was announced on November 12 with a great introductory video showcasing, in broad terms, what it is capable of. Alongside it, Valve also revealed the Steam Controller and Steam Frame, a VR headset.
When Is The Steam Machine Releasing?
According to Valve, the Steam Machine will be released in early 2026.
Details are still scarce, but, barring any potential delays, we could be seeing the PC/console hybrid release around March or April at the latest.
Steam Machine Price & Pre-Order
No news about the cost and pre-order information has been released by Valve regarding the Steam Machine. When we get more information revealed, I'll be updating this section accordingly.
