Destiny 2 patch nerfs Hard Light

Destiny 2 Season of the Worthy is in full swing, but one weapon is getting a hefty nerf with the game's latest hotfix.

Hard Light, an auto rifle with the ability to bounce shots off of hard surfaces, has been popular in the game since Auto Rifles got a buff in the most recent sandbox update.

Hard Light now has a damage fall-off of 30% at long range, as well as tweaking the recoil to provide an added kick.

The main change is in those aforementioned ricochet rounds. These will still deal double damage in PvE content, but in PvP they'll be cut down to 35% of their original damage. Trials of Osiris will hopefully be less about pinball-esque trick shots as a result.

Patch Notes for Hotfix 2.8.1.1:

Hard Light

Hard Light's damage falloff now floors at 0.7x (Auto Rifles use 0.5x standard).Split ricochet bonus damage between PvE and PvP.PvE damage remains at 2.0x damage.PvP damage is now 1.35x damage.Removed a hidden recoil adjustment that made the weapon more stable than intended.
