Bungie Weekly Update; Xur Location and Trials Date Confirmed

This week’s Bungie Weekly Update, revealed news of yet another patch headed our way.

This patch will arrive in November according to Bungie Community Manager, David “DeeJ” Dague, and has probably been scheduled to fix any bugs found in the King’s Fall Hard Mode Raid.

Speaking of the Hard Mode King’s Fall Raid, that starts TODAY! That’s right, it’s time to assemble your fireteams once again, to tackle what is likely the toughest Destiny Raid to date. The Raid itself will go live at 6pm GMT, which gives European Guardians all day to prepare. (Unless you’re at work all day... Apologies if you are).

Today’s preparation should start with a trip to see Xur. Here’s what he’s selling today and his location:

  • Empyrean Bellicose (Exotic Titan Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Mask of the Third Man (Exotic Hunter Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Exotic Warlock Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Legacy heavy weapon Engram - 31 Strange Coins
  • Exotic armour Engram - 23 Strange Coins
  • Three of Coins - 7 Strange Coins
  • Glass Needle – 3 Strange Coins + 1 Exotic Shard

In addition to this, the weekly update also confirmed the return date for Trials of Osiris. The competition is set to resume on Friday, October 30th. As said in the update, “Mark your calendars. Upgrade your weapons. Stand together or die alone.”

Rounding up the BWU, DeeJ responded to the lack of Legendary drops as rewards in the Iron Banner. According to Lars Bakken, Design Lead, the issue was caused by,

“a nasty bug that affected how Legendary drops happen throughout the Crucible, including Iron Banner… We’re working hard to ensure that the next Iron Banner will work as intended, and be even better than before.”
