To start off the new year, Riot has announced the new competitive map pool that will be available in Valorant at the start of Season 2026 Act 1.

The game's official account on X (formerly Twitter) announced the list of maps that will be available in the next Premier act, which will also be the map pool available in the game's Competitive mode.

For this occasion, Breeze is finally coming back into the pool and will replace Sunset. With that change, this will be the complete map pool for the new act:

  • Abyss
  • Bind
  • Breeze
  • Corrode
  • Haven
  • Pearl
  • Split

We still don't know if this will remain the map pool for the entire act, as Riot started to rotate the map pool more frequently last year, and it could follow the same pattern for this one.

This map pool will apply to not only the games in Competitive and Premier, but also the matches at the pro level, bringing Breeze back into the mix after being absent for a while.

Given the time it's been absent, the map could receive a rework (hopefully major) when patch 12.00 comes out, which is the update that will kick off Season 2026.

In the meantime, we will have to wait until Riot starts announcing the new things that are coming in the next act. We are expecting a new developer video teasing what's coming not only in the new act, but also in the coming months, similar to what happened at the start of last year.
