Battlefield 6 leaks have been a constant presence over the past few months, with fans pretty much knowing everything about the online shooter. Fans already know that it will be going back to its roots, while also introducing a Battle Royale mode that shows potential. New leaks have also given fans a look at the LA map for the BR mode, leaving them impressed.

A post from the Gaming Leaks subreddit provided a short clip of the LA map from the BR mode. Like we said in the previous paragraph, fans were impressed by the look of this area, with brighter and more vivid colors. Since Battle Royale games are usually lighter than the BF series, the vivid colors should help set the tone for more fun sessions.

This doesn’t mean fans want to see colorful costumes added in Battlefield 6, as the shooter is going for a more realistic aesthetic. Many gamers have also complained about the oversaturation of crossovers affecting titles like Call of Duty. Not every game has to be a Fortnite clone, especially for a realistic shooter like BF.

It is worth noting that this isn’t the first time a Battle Royale mode has been added to the Battlefield series. Fans remember how Firestorm was poorly received in Battlefield V, leading to its quick death. Battlefield 2042 was just a failure to many, which is why the Battle Royale mode alone wasn’t enough, even though fans liked the concept.

Everything we’ve seen from Battlefield 6 does make it seem like a perfect place for Battle Royale gameplay. The huge maps and destructive environments would make this genre a lot more fun than other games in the same boat. Having those vehicles also adds variety, because it means plenty of ways to kill other players in the, well, battlefield.

Battle Royale games might seem overdone nowadays, but the Battlefield 6 gameplay mechanics could revitalize the genre. Let’s just hope EA nails the landing.
