Uh oh, looks like a decent number of people are going to have to wait a few long hours before they can get into the Battlefield 6 beta, with over 200,000 players already in line. This has been the case ever since the beta went live, and the number keeps climbing every hour.
The good news is that the Battlefield 6 developers have released a statement saying they're actively working on a substantial increase in server capacity, which should help reduce queue times.

This open beta is the biggest Battlefield has ever seen, even more than Battlefield 2042. The developers are putting in the work to ensure players get the best possible first-person shooter experience, doing everything they can to make the servers as stable as possible. Queue times are an unfortunate necessity to manage server load with minimal disruption.
Today’s beta is part of the Early Access phase that EA and DICE announced. Anyone can join Early Access, as long as they received a beta code by watching their favorite streamers on Twitch through Twitch Drops.
But that seems like wishful thinking for now, as players are struggling to get in due to the sheer volume of people trying to access the game. It's reminiscent of that one Eric Andre meme. Even before the beta officially launched, over 10,000 players had already entered the queue by leaving their PCs on with Battlefield 6 running in the background, just to be among the first to get in.
Battlefield 6’s Early Access beta runs from today, August 7, until tomorrow, August 8. After that, the free weekend beta begins from August 9 to 10, with another weekend round scheduled for August 14 to 17.
Players can still pre-load the game even if they don't have Early Access. On PlayStation, the file size is 33.9 GB; on Xbox, it's 37.56 GB; and on PC, it's 35 GB. That’s surprisingly small for a game as massive as Battlefield.
