Nuketown 2025, a remaster of the Black Ops 2 version, is now available as a multiplayer map in Black Ops 7. However, it appears Treyarch is also planning to bring back their iconic location for Zombies.
Leaker TheGhostOfHope revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that a remake of Alpha Omega is coming to the new title. The map was originally released for Black Ops 4, and it featured the Blackout version of Nuketown, under the name Camp Edward, with access to underground areas where the pyramid or APD from the Broken Arrow organization was built.
The leaker explained that this will be one of the five round-based maps coming to the game during its post-launch season, but didn't mention a release window.
It's unclear if the map will retain its original layout or if we will see major changes in that aspect. We assume this map will also take place inside the Dark Aether, as the original dimension where it is was sent there at the end of Black Ops 4.
Besides Alpha Omega, the leaker also mentioned that the Nuketown Zombies map from Black Ops 2 is being remastered as a Survival map.
Nuketown Zombies is closer to its multiplayer counterpart, featuring a destroyed version of the original Nuketown multiplayer map, with a few paths blocked with rubble to adjust it for the mode.
No other details about the two maps were revealed, meaning we will have to wait until more leaks drop or an official reveal takes place for future seasons. We will make sure to keep you in the loop so you know when you'll be able to enjoy these past two maps in the current title.
