Black Ops 7 Season 1 everything we know

Black Ops 7 Season 1 everything we know

Black Ops 7 is still fresh out of the oven, as the game launched not long ago. Nonetheless, Season 1 is already getting ready to release, with Activision claiming it might be the biggest season for a title as a way to attract users.

Now that the trailer and the roadmap for Season 1 have been revealed, we have gathered all the major details in one place so you can prepare accordingly.

When Does Black Ops 7 Season 1 Come Out?

Season 1 of Black Ops 7 is scheduled to release on Thursday, December 4th, for all platforms. All the new content will be added through a patch that will go live at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM CET).

Call of Duty seasons usually last around eight weeks, but with the holiday period coming soon, this first post-launch season could take a bit more than usual. We can expect a big mid-season update to drop sometime in the first three weeks of January to add the content for the second half of the season.

Trailer

Here is the Season 1 launch trailer, which gives us a look at gameplay of some of the new multiplayer maps and weapons coming to the game, as well as the upcoming Zombies map Astra Malorum:

The major addition coming to Zombies in this first post-launch season is a brand-new map called Astra Malorum. The map takes place on an asteroid (still in the Dark Aether) and will have the following new features:

  • New wonder weapon: LGM-1
  • New enemy: O.S.C.A.R.
  • New traps:
  • Stellar Dissector: Cut up zombies with fatal laser beams and costs 1000 Essence.
  • Apogee Annihilator: Bomb zombies with Astronomer Rockets and costs 1500 Essence.

A release date for Astra Malorum hasn't been confirmed, but given that the roadmap has a "in-season" label on the map's image, we don't expect to see it right at the start.

Besides the new round-based map, two new Survival maps, titled Exit 115 and Zarya Cosmodrome, will be added. Exit 115 will be available at the start of the season, while Zarya Cosmodrome will arrive in the mid-season.

Mule Kick will return with its own collection of augments, along with two ammo mods (Light Mend and Shatter Blast) and three Field Upgrades (Tesla Storm, Frost Blast, and Mister Peeks).

Lastly, the following GobbleGums are being added to the game:

  • Elemental Exposure (Epic): [Lasts 3 Minutes] Your weapons will always inflict damage of the target’s Elemental Weakness.
  • Slaylist (Whimsical): Plays a random Zombies song.

Other details

Here are other minor details about the new content so you don't miss out on anything relevant:

  • The following equipment from Black Ops 6 will be added to the game: Shock Charge, Impact Grenade, Thermo Grenade, War Machine, Grim Reaper, Death Machine, and Combat Bow.
  • Directed Mode for Ashes of the Damned will be added at launch, while Directed Mode for Astra Malorum will be added in the mid-season.
  • The new scorestreak that showed up on the trailer, Deadeye Drone, is coming.
