Apex Legends Caliber - Release date, lore, and everything we know

Apex Legends Caliber is one of nine new Legends that has been tipped for an arrival in the hit battle royale title in the coming months and, whilst the leaks are somewhat vague in their detail, there is no harm in taking a look at what the new character may bring to the table.

For now, we are going to look at everything that we know about Caliber in Apex Legends thus far, including their skills, when they will arrive and everything in between.

Apex Legends Caliber release date

The leak that first emerged in 2022 featured nine Legends and one of them is Caliber. At the time of writing, there is no sign of Caliber appearing in a future seasonal update.

Season 18 is the next update for Apex Legends and if Respawn plans on adding Caliber to the ever-expanding roster of Legends, expect teasers to appear over the next few weeks.

As with all leaks, it's important to take them with a grain of salt until the developer shares more information.

There is currently no lore linked to Caliber, although this is almost certain to change as we approach the release of the Legend.

Apex Legends Caliber abilities

Leaked gameplay has given us a little insight into what skills Caliber will be bringing to the battlefield upon release. The passive, tactical and ultimate are as follows:

• Passive - Weapon Sling: A sling where you can store a third weapon.
• Tactical - Suppressor Turret: Deploy a makeshift turret from a copy of your active weapon.
• Ultimate - Auto Loader - Deploy a box that feeds ammo directly into nearby players' current weapons.

The weapon sling is already available as part of Ballistic so there's a chance the passive of Caliber has changed during the development process. The other two abilities certainly sound interesting and could shake up the existing meta depending on how they play in casual and competitive matches.
