Respawn's just released a new "Stories from the Outlands" for Apex Legends, and this one revolves around Bangalore's military origins. While mostly used as narrative devices to introduce new legends in the game, this latest video takes us back to Apex Legends' original roster.
Titled Gridiron, this eight and a half minute video depicts the story of how Bangalore became a legend. Her real name is Anita Williams, and she has a brother called Jackson who served as the commanding officer of their IMC unit.

Apex Legends Details Bangalore's Origin in New "Stories From The Outlands" Cinematic
The Williams family gave decorated soldiers to the IMC for generations. However, Jackson decided to cut off from the IMC during a fatal attack on Gridiron. He initiated a retreat to the Outlands to protect his family from the IMC itself, and this is where the story begins.
Bangalore wakes up at the medical station after the brutal battle at Gridiron. Jackson's timely intervention to retreat from the war saved his sister's life. He tells her that the IMC ordered an official retreat, which is why they have now arrived at the Outlands.
Bangalore, who is devastated from leaving her post, gets a renewed sense of duty and sends out a distress signal to all IMC operatives close by. She discovers that Jackson retreated from the battle like a coward, and calls upon IMC officials to take them back to Gridiron.
The IMC official arrives to charge Jackson with treason and orders his execution. Bangalore intervenes, but it's too late as the IMC warship starts firing missiles at Outlands' residents. A fight breaks out between the three and Bangalore finally manages to take down the IMC official.
As a result, the Williams siblings decide to leave the Outlands to move far away from the IMC's reach. This depiction of Bangalore's origin story has fans wondering whether Jackson Williams will be entering the world of Apex Legends, and you can watch it in full below.
