Apex Legends Ban Wave

A few days ago Respawn's security leader, Hideouts, took to Twitter to announce he will be going after cheaters again.

This time around his targets were in Platinum and higher of ranked.

“I’m hopping on tonight to clean house. I have about 240 people that are platinum and above that will be banned and will be monitoring for a majority of the night,"

This ban wave includes all regions so we should see an impact worldwide.

So far no one of particular notoriety seems to have been banned.

Hideouts then headed to Reddit to explain to players that the issue of cheaters getting to higher rank lobbies should hopefully get fixed in Season 8.

"Yes, there are a LOT of cheaters caught outside of this process. This process just helps catch cheaters getting into high ranking lobbies using exploits usually."

"Said exploit will hopefully be fixed for S8 so we should hopefully see less in the higher ranked lobbies."
