When is Apex Legends coming to mobile?

We still don’t have an exact answer, but we’re getting closer.

Respawn announced the first limited Apex Legends mobile testing rollouts in Spring 2021 for Android and, later, iOS devices.

These early Apex mobile rollouts are closed betas.

Respawn will increase the size and number of features as they progress.

Apex Legends mobile pre-register is not yet open, but we’ll update once it goes live.

Apex Legends Mobile Closed Beta New Countries

While there is no hard date, Respawn has confirmed that the Apex Legends Mobile Closed Beta will be coming to Peru, Colombia, Egypt, and Lebanon in the next few weeks.

Mobile users in those countries can pre-register for the Closed Beta through the Google Play store.

Apex Legends Mobile Differences

Apex Legends mobile is playable entirely by touch, with “streamlined controls and thoughtful optimizations that result in the most advanced battle royale combat available on a phone.”

There’s no word yet when Apex Legends mobile will release anywhere, though beta tests will start launching later in spring in the U.K., Europe, and U.S.

Apex Legends mobile is built from the ground up specifically for mobile, and Respawn is saying they won’t implement crossplay because of that.

Of course, Respawn also said Apex Legends mobile was a pipe dream shortly after the game released on PC, so it’s always possible this will change.

Regardless, it's still free to play, just like the PC/console version
