How to Download Apex Legends Mobile

May 17, 2022: Struggling to find the game? It's pretty far down the search results on the iOS App Store, so just keep scrolling if it wasn't at the top of the list. It'll climb.

After many months of closed beta testing, Apex Legends Mobile has finally launched around the world. It brings everything from the base experience to the tiny devices in your pocket, but if history has taught us anything with mobile gaming, it's that accessing the download isn't always as clear-cut as it should be. Here's how to download Apex Legends Mobile right now.

If you can't find the game through the usual channels, you'll want to follow along with the steps below. With region locks still in effect and market conditions always changing, mobile games can be difficult to find. The steps below should make things easier, but we can't be too sure they'll work for your particular situation.

How Do I Download Apex Legends Mobile?

Once the game has properly released around the world, you should have no trouble finding the game on the Google Play Store on Android, or the App Store on your iPhone or iPad. The game is launching worldwide, but some regions can still be excluded from - like if local laws prevent its gacha mechanics, or the official app stores aren't allowed.

If you're hoping to play Apex Legends Mobile in a country that isn't supported, you'll likely have to rely on third-party app stores like Huawei App Gallery, the Amazon App Store, or the Galaxy Store on a Samsung device.

If you can't find the game on any of those, another solution would be to grab the Apex Legends Mobile APK.

This is the Android install package you'd usually download directly from one of the various app stores. If you've enabled third-party installs on your device, you should be able to download this from a site like APKPure and launch it like you would a standard piece of PC software, which your phone will then extract and install like any other app.

That solution isn't available for iPhone users, though, so you'll have to rely on something like iTunes if you can find an Apple-specific Apex Legends Mobile file. APKs are specific to Android.

Why Can't I Sign Into Apex Legends Mobile?

If you've managed to download Apex Legends Mobile but can't seem to log in, you're likely either trying to play from an unsupported country, on an unsupported device, or with an unsupported version of the game.

That last one can usually be fixed by ensuring the version of the game you download matches up with the latest patch notes, but if you download the game from an official app store, its own update process should sort it.

For an unsupported region, you'll need to hope that using a VPN and masking your IP to that of a supported region is enough to trick the game into letting you play. This can also be detected at an account level, meaning you may need to make a new Google/Apple account while using that VPN - which can sometimes require things like an address and credit card number you can't provide.

If all else fails, you may just need to give up and wait for official support in your country. If you have a PC on hand, you can learn how to play Apex Legends Mobile on PC, but you'll likely run into the same region-locking issues if they're present. Good luck out there.
