Shin Megami Tensei V finally launched last week to positive reviews. Playing as the Nahobino, Atlus' latest entry arrived as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. However, new evidence has surfaced that PC and PS4 releases are planned.
While Atlus hasn't confirmed this, dataminers discovered info in Shin Megami Tensei V's files. As seen on one of the tags in SMT V's .uproject files, that includes three target platforms, noting Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation 4.
Shin Megami Tensei V Rumoured for PC, PlayStation Release
That's corroborated by further evidence from the recent GeForce Now leak, which revealed future titles coming to NVIDIA's cloud gaming service for PC. Allegedly. Shin Megami Tensei V is the "Unannounced Dungeon Tactics Game" previously listed and some included games have since been confirmed.
However, this information hasn't been formally confirmed, so take with a grain of salt. It's worth noting though that Atlus' parent company, SEGA, has vocally pushed for multiplatform releases of its games moving forward. Titles including Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5 Strikers, Catherine and the Yakuza series are several examples.
We'll keep you informed as we learn more.
