Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD - How to Recruit Dante

Back in the PS2 days, Atlus made a deal with Capcom to feature Dante from Devil May Cry in Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne when it came out in the West, which got the attention of many gamers due to the demon hunter’s popularity.

Now that Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD is available and even features Dante from Devil May Cry, many modern gamers are probably wondering how they can recruit one of Capcom’s coolest characters ever.

Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD - How to Recruit Dante

First, you’re gonna have to pay up because Dante is paid DLC in the HD version of Nocturne.

That’s right, you can only recruit Dante in SMT 3 Nocturne HD after you’ve purchased the Maniax Pack for $9.99, likely due to licensing restrictions with Capcom but that’s just how these crossovers work, I suppose.

If you don’t purchase the game’s Maniax Pack you’ll be able to recruit SMT character Raidou Kuzunoha instead.

Once you’ve purchased the DLC, Dante will be recruitable fairly late into the story and you won’t have to use any negotiation tactics, which should make a lot of people happy.

Simply play through Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD, encounter Dante a few times and by the end, he should offer to join you, though keep in mind that you’ll have to buy the DLC.

Dante will be one of your more powerful allies with moves that were ripped from Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2 since this game came out before Devil May Cry 3 did.

Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD is now available on the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
