Following a leak from the ESRB, Bandai Namco announced Ni No Kuni 2 for Switch, set for release on September 17.

Officially called Ni No Kuni 2 Revenant Kingdoms Prince’s Edition, the Ni No Kuni 2 Switch version includes all previous DLC and expansions and will cost $59.99.

The DLC expansions include the Tale of a Timeless Tome chapter and Lair of the Lost Lord, which normally cost $25 together.

Ni No Kuni 2 Revenant Kingdom is set in the same world as its predecessor, Wrath of the White Witch, but with a number of differences.

For example, Ding Dong Dell is completely different in the sequel, and there’s no direct tie-in with Oliver’s adventures or the likes of Mr Drippy.

Ni No Kuni 2 follows Evan Pettywhisker Tildrum, prince of Ding Dong Dell, on his journey to reclaim his birthright following a tragic coup.

He’s aided by sky pirates and a mysterious advisor from another world, along with the small creatures known as Higgledies, which replace familiars from the first Ni No Kuni.

While Studio Ghibli didn’t work on Ni No Kuni 2’s visuals, Ghibli composer Joe Hisaishi composed the game’s score.
