Popular Manga series Made in Abyss is getting adapted into an action RPG


Made in Abyss, a popular manga series from renowned author and illustrator Akihito Tsukushi is receiving a game adaptation from Spike Chunsoft. The full title of the game is Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness and will be a 3D action JRPG adaptation of the series.

The announcement came via a press release, as well as Spike Chunsoft's official Twitter page. A description of the game's summary was also released, via Twitter.

"Descend into the world of the Abyss and grow through surviving its depths in this 3D Action RPG. Relive the anime’s story in the game and experience an original story supervised by the series author, Akihito Tsukushi. Event scenes are fully voiced by the anime’s cast!"

The manga series follows a young, orphan girl by the name of Riko. In the middle of where the orphanage resides is a huge hole that she titles Abyss, and after discovering a humanoid robot resembling a human boy named Reg in Abyss, befriends him into her tight-knit group of friends at the orphanage. Shenanigans occur and Riko decides to descend into Abyss to find her long lost mother, Lyza with Reg at her side.

Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling Into Darkness will release sometime in 2022 on PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
