Kapp'n is finally charting a course for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and he's bringing his unique brand of music with him. The kappa helmsmen docks his boat on your island as part of New Horizons' free 2.0 update on November 5, and the power of his shanties is apparently not to be underestimated.
Kapp'n's Boat Tours take you on a journey across the sea to islands unknown, serenaded by the erstwhile taxi driver all the way, but Kapp'n's Mystery Islands are a cut above your usual Nook Miles tours. The islands he takes you to could have new plants to harvest, including climbable beanstalks and glowing weeds, wile some might be in a different climate or set in a different time of day entirely.
It's a big, free reward for letting the ol' seafarer sing his heart out, but it's far from the only new addition on the horizon. Nintendo is also releasing a new round of Animal Crossing amiibo cards and the game's first paid DLC expansion, Happy Home Paradise.
